Teacher Training @ Dragonfly Yoga + Wellness
I am pleased to offer an in-depth and transformational teacher training program at Dragonfly Yoga + Wellness, working as co-director with Suzanna Spring. The Dragonfly Yoga Teacher Training Program is a comprehensive 200-hour curriculum, registered with the Yoga Alliance. Beginning with the bedrock of the six-week, 72-hour Advanced Studies Program, you will dive deep into regular asana, pranayama and meditation practice, and explore the main philosophical concepts of yoga. Throughout these six weeks, you will have the opportunity to embody the principles of yoga and incorporate them into your daily patterns, creating more personal peace and equanimity in your life.
These skills will deepen as the Teacher Training
Program expands with lessons based on:
anatomy and intelligent modifications
instructing with clarity and accuracy
biomechanical principles of vinyasa yoga
energetic components of yoga
verbal and hands-on adjustments
risk and injury management
modifications for mixed-level classes
anatomy as related to asana and energetics
history of yoga
philosophical yoga concepts
the business and ethics of yoga
Guest instructors enhance the program, offering lessons on the topics of:

Throughout the six months, you will discover and hone unique personal strengths to use in your path as a yoga teacher. A large portion of our graduates are now employed as respected yoga instructors throughout the Tri Valley, and beyond.
When I began yoga, it was a tremendous a refuge for me. It saved me from debilitating depression and offered me a new, skillful way of looking at the world. Love and bliss were my experience of yoga for quite a long time. I began to shift my pessimistic world-view into one where I saw the world as a friendly place.
Over the years, the glow and newness of the practice wore off. I’ve had periods of time where I’ve struggled to show up or stay on my mat. I’ve had moments when I’ve felt disillusioned with the teachings. Sometimes my meditations have been just sitting down, getting up, and sitting back down again - over and over. And yet the act of showing up over and over to my yoga and Buddhist practices have evolved to become a discipline that is a very inward, supportive, and clarifying part of my life. The heart of keeping yoga relevant and meaningful for me, has been in accepting life as clearly as I can and not denying the very real first principle of Buddhism: that...
